  • Webflow has two main areas:
    • Static pages
    • CMS (Content Management System)
  • Static pages are things like:
    • Homepage
    • Contact Us page
    • Other fixed pages
  • The CMS is where most ongoing content updates happen.

4. Edit static pages when needed 1:07

  • Use the page menu to select the static page you want to edit.
  • Click directly into the text box and change the text as needed.
  • Note:
    • You can edit text
    • You cannot change formatting yourself
  • Contact the ChurchSEO.io team to make changes like:
    • Font size
    • Font type
    • Other formatting updates

5. Publish changes made to static pages 1:53

  • After editing a static page, you must publish the site for the changes to go live.
  • Saving alone is not enough; publishing is required.

6. Use the CMS for most content updates 2:02

  • Most of your work will happen in the CMS.
  • In the upper-left corner, use the CMS selector to open it.
  • CMS stands for Content Management System.

7. Work with CMS collections and items 2:16

  • Inside the CMS, you’ll see collections on the left.
  • These collections are built specifically for your church and use case.
  • Each collection contains individual items you can manage.

8. Edit existing CMS items or add new ones 2:33

  • To update an existing item:
    • Click the item you want to edit
    • Modify the fields in the form
  • To add a new item:
    • Click New
    • Fill out the form with the required information
  • This works for things like documents, events, activities, or other content types depending on your site setup.

9. Publish CMS items so the site updates everywhere 3:12

  • Once you publish a CMS item, the related pages update automatically.
  • Example:
    • Publishing a new activity can add a new card on the activities page
    • It can also create a full detail page for that activity
  • One CMS update can affect multiple parts of the site.

10. Edit confidently and make changes safely 3:41

  • As an editor in Webflow, you cannot break the site.
  • Feel free to experiment and learn how the system works.
  • If you make a change you don’t like, you can simply change it back.

11. Finish up 4:01
